Grassland / Private project
Project details
A half-acre former grazing paddock being transformed into a wildflower-rich space for nature. The site is bordered by an established hedge, which has been allowed to thicken out, alongside a newly planted conservation hedge of native species including hawthorn and blackthorn. The grassland has been left to grow naturally through the summer and will be cut before being prepared for wildflower seeding in autumn. The aim is to encourage natural regeneration, create better habitat for pollinators, birds and other wildlife, and gradually increase the ecological value of the site.
