At the back of our playing field we have close to one acre of space that we have dedicated to rewilding. Here our grounds maintenance team do not mow, we let wildflowers self seed and encourage the messy beauty of nature to take over. We have a bramble patch, trees and also a developing orchard within the space. We're teaching children about letting nature lead the way, observing the seasons and noticing signs of wildlife. We'd like to become a beacon school in the area for rewilding, learning from the experts. Our space is a small haven for wildlife and us! A place to pause, be mindful and notice all that is wonderful. In our rewilding zone we can hear the birds, spot dragonflies, capture signs of local mammals and enjoy the fauna and flora which is beginning to flourish. We are proud to be teaching children about rewilding and giving them the tools to make a difference.
